A Guide to an Exhibitionist

About the Show

In this installation, Collage will introduce new works of live art. With the audience listening on audio guide, live performers in an oversized frame expose the mysteries of the nude, the action of still life and the kaleidoscope of color field. An interactive "self-portrait" with microphone, camera and headset offer the audience a chance to engage their secret "self" in conversation with a wired dancer behind a projection scrim. Two tango dancers share a pedestal in an illicit dance of live sculpture. Part diorama, part display case, a plexiglass box traps a dancer held in the viewer’s gaze. Choreographed and Directed by Heidi Duckler Written and Conceived by Merridawn Duckler Set and Light Design by Christopher Kuhl Projections and Sound Design by Jeff Teeter Funded in part by the Armory Center for the Arts and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
