Anne of Green Gables presented by Boston Children’s Theatre

In Boston Children’s Theatre’s production, it’s not being an orphan that causes problems for Anne Shirley–it’s being a girl. When old Marilla Cuthbert and her curmudgeonly brother Matthew finally acknowledged they could use a little help at Green Gables, they definitely specified a boy. But there stood Anne at the train station, and no way to send her back. Anne’s bright willingness soon wins the hearts of all Avonlea, especially Uncle Matthew’s (though he would never admit it), and she is sure to win yours in this delightful musical adaptation by Donald Harron and Norman Campbell, based on the beloved stories of L. M. Montgomery.

BCT features “live theatre for children by children.” All roles played by young people ages 9-18.
