About This Show

In a season of “mad love” this is Shakespeare’s renowned contribution to “mad.” There is no joke too low, no pie too high, and no kitchen wench too wide. Based on improvised commedia and trumpeting the three-ring circus, vaudeville, and Marx Brothers to come, The Comedy of Errors takes two sets of identical twins, separates them at birth, and plunks them down, decades later, in the same town. There’s a happy ending, but the fun is untangling the surprising family ties.
