Scene/Unseen: The Underwater Works of Laurie McLeod

About the Show

The opening night of the Berkshire Fringe includes a fundraiser and the world premiere of Scene/Unseen: The Underwater Works of Laurie McLeod. Laurie McLeod, a choreographer, filmmaker, and performance maverick, has been making brave, invigorating, and beautiful art for over 20 years. For the past four years, Ms. McLeod has focused exclusively on short underwater films, which have been seen at MassMoCA, Lincoln Center, Jacob’s Pillow and on PBS.

The exhibit will include Yes, She Said, Teatro Iva, Teatro Otana, Waterhaven #1: (Luo Yong’s Dream) along with never before seen compilation of outtakes and unused scenes from her films, scenes from her new body of work inside carwashes as well as other new material. The exhibit is curated by Laurie McLeod, Erik Nelson and Berkshire Fringe Artistic Director, Casey Siegel. Proceeds go to the Berkshire Fringe.
