About the Show
Singer-songwriter Reagan Richards of the Asbury Park country duo, Williams Honor, stars in her own solo show, “GOOD MORNING HEARTACHE” : Torch Songs and Timeless Standards from the Great American Songbook
Richards debuted her sold out show in 2021 (originally titled, “With Love, Reagan”) as an homage to her mother, Harriet, a big band singer who had shared the stage with Les Paul, as well as other big band leaders. Her Mom proudly sat front row as Richards delivered a blistering set of songs from days gone by, the songs her mother taught her when she was little. Classics by Judy Garland, Eydie Gorme, Bing Crosby, Billie Holiday among many others.
The show was brought back a second time in 2023, with one fan visibly missing – her Mother.
She had passed away that year and the show was a beautiful and poignant tribute to her.
Richards career has had her walking in her mother’s footsteps. In addition to Richards’ country band, (a band that can boast their charting singles at country radio and also had an opening slot at Madison Square Garden with Bon Jovi) she also has an extensive background of sharing stages with a cast of A Listers. Richards sang with Les Paul for four years before his death in 2009. She also played Patsy Cline in the two woman stage production of Patsy’s life, “Always, Patsy Cline”. She has also sung backing vocals for many artists including, David Gray, Debbie Harry, Johnny Rzeznik, Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper to name just a few.
Experience an unforgettable evening as Reagan Richards breathes new life into the timeless treasures of the Great American Songbook (plus a few other epic handpicked songs) With powerhouse vocals and a beautiful balance of sophistication and humor, she, along with her All Star Band, will bring the glamour and excitement of this treasured music to the Avenel Performing Arts Center on October 28th!
