About This Show

Performed by a group of young people, this play is a political commentary based around the events of the Soweto uprising in 1976 and is a commemoration to Hector Peterson, the first youth to die in the tragic event. Governmental oppression and injustices are portrayed in this production about apartheid.

Brought to you by Freddie Hendrick’s Youth Ensemble of Africa, the production will be going to the Windybrow Arts Centre Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa immediately following this series of performances.
