Chilina Kennedy, Will Connolly, Krystina Alabado Set for This Ain't No Disco

Full casting has been announced for the new Stephen Trask-Peter Yanowitz musical This Ain't No Disco. The Atlantic Theater Company production, directed by Darko Tresnjak, begins performances June 29, with opening night set for July 24.

Featuring a book by Trask, Yanowitz, and Rick Elice, and score by Trask and Yanowitz, This Ain't No Disco will star Krystina Alabado, Will Connolly, Eddie Cooper, Tony d'Alelio, Lulu Fall, Hannah Florence, Antwayn Hopper, Chilina Kennedy, Peter LaPrade, John-Michael Lyles, Krystal Mackie, Trevor McQueen, Nicole Medoro, Ian Paget, Theo Stockman, Samantha Marie Ware, and Antonio Watson.

Set against the grit, the garbage strikes and the graffiti of 1979 New York City, This Ain't No Disco tells the story of drifters and dreamers searching for their place in the night world of Studio 54 and Mudd Club. In their uptown/downtown quest for revelry and kinship, every decision is fateful in a city where one's fate can turn on a dime bag.

This Ain't No Disco will feature scenic design by Jason Sherwood, costume design by Sarah Laux, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Emily Lazar, projection design by Aaron Rhyne, and musical direction by Darius Smith.
