Theatre for a New Audience Announces The Winter's Tale Postshow Talks

Theatre for a New Audience has announced four free postshow TFANA Talks in connection with its new production of William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, which runs through April 15 at the Polonsky Shakespeare Center.
After the 2pm performance on Saturday, April 7, Gail Kern Paster, a member of TFANA's Council of Scholars and former director of the Folger Shakespeare Library, will engage in conversation with stars Kelley Curran (Hermione), Mahira Kakkar (Paulina), and Nicole Rodenburg (Perdita). After the 7:30pm performance on Friday, April 13, TFANA founding artistic director Jeffrey Horowitz will moderate a discussion between the production's director, Arin Arbus, and Gregory Doran, artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, whose production of King Lear will be running at the same time at Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Arbus will also participate in a conversation with Kakkar and Anatol Yusef (Leontes) after the 2pm performance on Saturday, April 14, led by Richard McCoy, a member of TFANA's Council of Scholars and a distinguished professor of English at Queens College and the Graduate Center, CUNY. And after the 2pm performance on Sunday, April 15, Horowitz will lead a discussion with Witches of America author Alex Mar and playwright Sara Ruhl about the Pygmalion myth, androids, and more.
The Winter's Tale stars Kelley Curran as Hermione and Anatol Yusef as Leontes. They are joined by Oberon K.A. Adjepong as Antigonus, Maechi Aharanwaas as Mopsa, Arnie Burton as Autolycus, Eddie Ray Jackson as Florizel, Mahira Kakkar as Paulina, John Keating as Old Shepherd, Robert Langdon Lloyd as Time, Ed Malone as Clown, Dion Mucciacito as Polixenes, Eli Rayman as Mamillius, Nicole Rodenburg as Perdita, Michael Rogers as Camillo, Zsaz Rutkowski as Musician, Titus Tompkins as Mariner and Musician, and Liz Wisan as Dorcas.
The creative team is made up of Austin McCormick (choreographer), Riccardo Hernandez (set design), Emily Rebholz (costume design), Marcus Doshi (lighting design), Broken Chord Collective (sound design) Alison Bomber (voice and text coach), Jonathan Kalb (dramaturg), J. Jared Janas and Dave Bova (hair/wig and makeup design), Jon Knust (props supervisor), J. Allen Suddeth (fight director), and Renee Lutz (production stage manager).
