Target Margin Theater has announced its 2018-19 season, its second at its new home at the Doxsee in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Among the selections will be a revival of founding artistic director David Herskovits's hit from last year, Pay No Attention to the Girl (October 25-November 11), as well as the new Ali Baba-based play The Girl Speaks (March 28, 2019-April 20, 2019), also directed by Herskovits. Both will continue the company's multiyear focus on The One Thousand and One Nights, as will the 2019 edition of Target Margin's annual lab festival, News of the Strange (June 3-23, 2019), which will include a new work by associate artistic director Moe Yousuf and two new commissioned works exploring early medieval Arab fantasy writing.

The company will also debut a new programming initiative, Target Margin Presents, curated by Herskovits and Yousuf, providing performance space to artists who share the company's aesthetic and embrace its mission, but have not yet built substantial institutional support. The two productions in this year's installment will be Little Lord's The Peanut Butter Show (October 1-5) and Lisa Clair's The Making of King Kong (November 29-December 15).

For over 25 years, Target Margin Theater has been interpreting classic texts, lesser-known works, and new plays inspired by existing sources. In addition, Target Margin has served over 1,000 artists through its annual incubator lab festival and has nurtured the next generation of theater makers via a yearlong fellowship program.
