Signature Theatre has announced the lineup for its 2019-20 season.

Kicking off the season, and beginning her Residency 1 cycle, is Anna Deavere Smith and Fires in the Mirror, running October 22-November 24. Saheem Ali directs the work, which is Smith's response to the Crown Heights riots in 1991. The New York premiere of Lauren Yee's Cambodian Rock Band will take place February 4-March 8, under the direction of Chay Yew. It will kick off Yee's five-play residency. At the same time, Katori Hall will premiere her new play, The Hot Wing King, as part of the Residency 5 program, February 11-March 15. Steve H. Broadnaux III directs.

Smith's Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992, exploring the Rodney King riots, will run April 28-May 31, under the direction of Taibi Magar. This is followed by the world premiere of Dominique Morisseau's Confederates, running May 12-June 14 as part of the Residency 5 program. Kamilah Forbes directs.
