Game of Thrones Actor Daniel Portman to Star in Square Go Off-Broadway

The play by Kieran Hurley and Gary McNair ran at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe festival.

Game of Thrones actor Daniel Portman, who plays the squire Podrick Payne, has been announced to star in Kieran Hurley and Gary McNair's Square Go at off-Broadway's 59E59, according to Deadline. Portman will star alongside the previously announced Gavin Wright in the work's U.S. premiere.

Square Go, which received a 2018 Fringe First Award for its run at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, will run as part of 59E59's 2019 Brits Off Broadway festival. Brits Off Broadway is a festival dedicated to featuring the UK's most innovative and provocative theater in New York City. The event will begin on April 16 and run through June 30.

Square Go will run June 5-30, and opening night is June 14. Finn den Hertog is set to direct.
