Fabulation, or The Re-Education of Undine Extends at Signature Theatre

Lileana Blain-Cruz’s production of Lynn Nottage’s play will now run through December 10.

Signature Theatre announced today a one-week extension for its production of Lynn Nottage's Fabulation, or The Re-education of Undine. After beginning performances on November 19 the production will now run through January 6, 2019, at the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center. Opening night is set for December 10.

Lileana Blain-Cruz directs a cast that features Mayaa Boateng (Fairview), Cherise Boothe (When We Were Young and Unafraid), Marcus Callender (Power), J. Bernard Calloway (Head of Passes), Dashiell Eaves (A Time to Kill), Ian Lassiter (Junk), Nikiya Mathis (Skeleton Crew), and Heather Alicia Simms (Barbecue) will star in the production.

The creative team will include Adam Rigg (scenic designer), Montana Levi Blanco (costume designer), Yi Zhao (lighting designer), and Palmer Hefferan (sound designer).

Fabulation is described as follows: "This satirical tale, set in New York City, follows successful African-American publicist Undine, as she stumbles down the social ladder after her husband steals her hard-earned fortune. Broke and now pregnant, Undine is forced to return to her childhood home in the Brooklyn projects, where she must face the challenges of the life she left behind."
