Michael Stahl-David and More Set for Second Stage's Engagments
The new play by Lucy Teitler is directed by Kimberly Senior.
Second Stage Theatre has announced casting for the New York premiere of Lucy Teitler's Engagements, directed by Kimberly Senior. The production will begin performances July 18 and open August 4 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre.
Engagements is described as follows: "It's summer in New England and every weekend is someone else's engagement party. The wildflowers, specialty cocktails, and artisanal appetizers are totally Instagram-worthy, but the people are not quite so perfect. One night, Lauren takes it into her own hands to make sure that her best friend doesn't marry an inadequate suitor — a drunken mistake that incites a cascade of calamities, threatening to expose all of Lauren's secrets."
In alphabetical order, the company includes Jennifer Kim, Omar Maskati, Ana Nogueira, Michael Stahl-David, and Brooke Weisman. The production features scenic design by Wilson Chin, costumes by Beth Goldenberg, lighting design by Jen Schriever, and sound design by Ryan Rumery.
