
Goodspeed has announced two of the three musicals that will be presented in The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, CT during 2011.
The lineup includes Cutman: A Boxing Musical, which focuses on a young Jewish boxer’s struggle between his ambition and his religion. Bookwriter Jared Michael Coseglia will direct the piece, which music and lyrics by Drew Brody, and will run May 12 – June 5.
Also on the company’s schedule is Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk’s The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown, which tells the story of a high school valedictorian struggling with life-changing decisions about sex, love, college and the impact the paths she chooses will have on the rest of her life. This bright new musical will run August 4 – 28, 2011.
Casting and creative teams, as well as the third musical for the season, will be announced shortly.
