Playwright and actor Wallace Shawn will read his essay, “Why I Call Myself a Socialist,” at an event at Dance New Amsterdam, Saturday, March 3 at 7pm.
The evening is being presented by The Center for Economic Research and Social Change and Haymarket Books. There will be an audience discussion following the reading, as well as a separate ticket reception.
Shawn’s essay is printed in the expanded paperback edition of his nonfiction book, Essays.
