The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips has announced final casting for its special four-performance engagement at The Box, beginning February 20. The show is written by performer Kenyon Phillips and has previously played several sold-out shows at Joe's Pub. Isaac Klein, who assistant-directed Broadway's recent revivals of West Side Story and Gypsy, will serve as assistant director and dramaturg at the upcoming performances.

The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips is a 90-minute rock opera that uses an interactive cabaret-variety show format — complete with burlesquers, aerialists, and other circus acts — to explore the past, present, and future of downtown performance artist Kenyon Phillips.

Phillips is a singer, songwriter, actor, writer, model, dancer, and dj. In addition to founding and fronting the bands Roma!, Unisex Salon, and Thrill a Minute, he has written and produced songs for Amy Poehler, Joey Arias, Raven O, and Sherry Vine. His debut solo EP, Fire in the Hole, was released in September 2013.
