Tony Award nominee Stephen Mangan will voice the title character in the animated film, Postman Pat: The Movie — You Know You’re the One, which is scheduled for planned 3D theatrical release for Spring 2013, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Rupert Grint, Jim Broadbent, and David Tennant will also participate in the film, which will be written by Kim Full and Annika Bluhm.
The film will feature Postman Pat entering a national TV talent show competition, a decision that threatens to tear him away from his hometown.
Mangan received a Tony Award nomination for his Broadway debut in The Norman Conquests. In the U.K., he has appeared at London’s Royal Court, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and with Cheek by Jowl. His film and television credits include Free Agents and Billy Elliot.
