Signature Theatre Company’s world-premiere production of Sam Shepard’s Heartless has been extended through September 30 after completely selling out its initial run at the Pershing Square Signature Center. The production, directed by Daniel Aukin, will open on August 27.

Gary Cole, Betty Gilpin, Julianne Nicholson, and Lois Smith star in the work, which finds dark secrets revealed when a mysterious visitor arrives at a woman’s cavernous Los Angeles home.
The design team includes Eugene Lee (scenic designer), Kaye Voyce (costume designer), Tyler Micoleau (lighting designer) and Eric Shimelonis (sound designer).
