Roundabout Theatre Company Announces Casting for The Last Match

Roundabout Theatre Company announced casting for the New York premiere of Anna Ziegler's new play The Last Match, beginning September 28 at the Laura Pels Theatre, with the official opening set for October 24.

The play is described as follows: "It’s the semifinals of the U.S. Open, and two tennis greats are facing off in the match of their lives. Tim Porter, the aging all-American favorite, wants to prove to the world, his wife, and himself that he’s still a champion. Hot-headed rising star Sergei Sergeyev struggles to believe he truly deserves to beat his lifelong hero."

The cast will feature Wilson Bethel (Tim), Alex Mickiewicz (Sergei), Natalia Payne (Galina), and Zoë Winters (Mallory). Directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, the creative team will include Tim Mackabee (scenic design), Montana Blanco (costume design), Bradley King (lighting design), and Bray Poor (sound design).
