Mei Ann Teo directs the PlayCo production.

PlayCo, the Obie Award-winning off-Broadway theater, will present Catalan playwright Josep Maria Miró’s The Nicest Body Ever Seen Around These Parts, staged by Mei Ann Teo, and translated by Sharon Feldman. It runs October 7-November 7 on the second floor of Theatre 122CC.
Winner of the National Prize for Dramatic Literature, the highest theater honor in Spain, this solo play stars two-time Obie Award winner Rachel Crowl, channeling an entire town.
The creative team includes scenic designer Jian Jung, costume designer Olivera Gajic, lighting designer Kate McGee, and composer and sound designer Avi Amon.
The play about the discovery of a body in a field that reopens a small town’s wounds is based on the small Catalonian town that Miró grew up in, but is applicable to all small towns that hold the generosity of community and the brutality of narrow-mindedness.
