Additional names have been added to the lineup for the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals.
The National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced the slate of concerts and events that will help begin the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals on October 23 and 24.
On October 22, the festival kicks off with The 46th Minute, directed by Victoria Bussert at New World Stages. This concert features cut songs and new material from all eight festival shows from this season.
On October 23 and 24, the 2014 Songwriters Showcase, highlighting four new musicals at varying stages of development, will be presented, also at New World Stages. The lineup includes Timothy Huang's The Cost of Living, Pigpen Theatre Co.'s The Hunter and the Bear, Michael Mahler and Aaron Thielen's October Sky, and Storyville by Lisa De Spain, Frozen's Kristen Anderson-Lopez, and Julia Jordan.
The same dates will include songwriters sessions, with music by Michelle Elliott and Danny Larsen, Rob Rokicki, Will Aronson, and Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar.
