PHOTO FLASH: Harvey Fierstein, Jerry Mitchell, Billy Porter, Stark Sands at Kinky Boots Meet and Greet

The Broadway-bound musical Kinky Boots held a meet and greet on Monday, August 20. The production will play Chicago’s Bank of America Theatre, October 2-November 4 prior to a Broadway run at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, beginning March 5, 2013 with an opening on April 4.

Featuring a book by Harvey Fierstein and music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, the show is based on the 2005 British film of the same name and centers on how Charlie Price works to save his family’s shoe factory in Northern England by enlisting the help of a fabulous drag performer named Lola.

Jerry Mitchell will direct and choreograph the production, which stars Stark Sands (Charlie) and Billy Porter ( Lola).
