The Newlywed Game: On Thursday, January 12, the stars of the upcoming revival of Neil Simon’s 1963 comedy Barefoot in the Park met the press. The play tells the tale of Corie and Paul Bratter, newlyweds who move into a smallish, fifth-floor walkup apartment in Manhattan — an apartment that would probably rent for at least $3,000 a month nowadays. Here are the gorgeous Amanda Peet and the dreamy Patrick Wilson, who play Corie and Paul.
Here’s Jill Clayburgh, who plays Corie’s mother, and Tony Roberts, who plays the Bratters’ neighbor Victor Velasco.
And here’s Peet again with fashion bigwig Isaac Mizrahi, the show’s costume designer.
Pryce is Right: On Tuesday, January 17, the highly respected actor Jonathan Pryce succeeded John Lithgow as Lawrence Jameson in the David Yazbek-Jeffrey Lane musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Here’ a shot of Pryce with co-stars Sherie Rene Scott and Norbert Leo Butz.
Here’s a solo shot of Pryce backstage after the show.
On the same night that Pryce opened in Scoundrels, Mylinda Hull replaced Sara Gettelfinger as Jolene Oakes. Here she is with a floral tribute.
Here’s Pryce again with David and Helen Gurley Brown….
…and here’s Hull again with actor Reg Rogers, most recently seen in Bach at Leipzig.
