New Georges announced its 2024-2025 season, which will kick off this fall with A Woman Among Women by Julia May Jonas. Featuring music by Brian Cavanagh-Strong (Sesame Street) and direction by Sarah Hughes, A Woman Among Women is a co-production with the Bushwick Starr and will run from October 15-November 3 at the Bushwick Starr.
A riff off Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, A Woman Among Women is part of Julia May Jonas’s 5-play cycle All Long True American Stories, in which she reimagines canonical 20th-century American male-experience plays as they’d be experienced by other people, mostly women.
The cast will include Brittany K. Allen (Redwood), Gabriel Brown (The Good Fight), Annie Fang, Zoë Geltman, Hannah Heller, Lucy Kaminsky, Drew Lewis (Redwood), Maria-Christina Oliveras (Between Riverside and Crazy), and Dee Pelletier (The Minutes).
The season will continue with Two Sisters Find A Box of Lesbian Erotica in the Woods, written and performed by Emma Horwitz (Mary Gets Hers) and Bailey Williams (I thought I would die but I didn’t), and directed by Tara Elliott. Co-produced with Rattlestick Theater, the show will run from March 28-April 26 at HERE.
A third production for the season will be announced at a later date.
