Metropolitan Opera’s "Ring Cycle" to Be Released on DVD on September 11

Robert Lepage’s staging of Richard Wagner’s “Ring Cycle,” which was presented last season by the Metropolitan Opera, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 11 by Deutsche Grammophon, according to The Associated Press.


The four operas will be sold in sets of eight DVDs, with a suggested retail price of $147.98, and five Blu-ray discs for $159.98.


The operas, which were conducted by James Levine and Fabio Luisi, star Bryn Terfel, Jay Hunter Morris, Deborah Voigt, Eric Owens, Wendy Bryn Hammer, Patricia Bardon, and Jonas Kaufmann.
