McCarter Theatre Center will present Tony Award-winning actor, singer and dancer Ben Vereen in his one man show, An Evening with Ben Vereen, on Monday, February 1at 8pm.
The show combines a tribute to Broadway, Frank Sinatra, and a very special tribute to Sammy Davis Jr. It features popular songs such as “Defying Gravity,” “Mr. Bojangles,” “Something’s Coming,” and “Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries.”
Vereen currently stars in the McCarter’s world premiere production of Fetch Clay, Make Man (January 8-February 7). He won a Tony Award for his performance in Pippin, with additional Broadway credits including Wicked, Fosse, Jelly’s Last Jam, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, and I’m Not Rappaport.
