Matthew Risch will take over the role of Trip Wyeth in Broadway’s Other Desert Cities, at the Booth Theatre, beginning Tuesday, March 27. He replaces Justin Kirk, who will play his final performance on Sunday, March 25.
Directed by Joe Mantello, Jon Robin Baitz’s play centers on a once promising novelist, who has written a memoir focusing on an explosive chapter in her family’s history.
The cast also features Stacy Keach, Judith Light, Elizabeth Marvel and Lauren Klein, who as previously reported, is playing the role of Polly Wyeth until Thursday, April 5 with star Stockard Channing returning to the role on Friday, April 6.
Risch understudies for the role, and performed in the show for most of December 2011. Among his other Broadway credits are Pal Joey, Legally Blonde, and Chicago.
