The Titaníque co-creator and star is collaborating with Peter Farrelly on a stage adaptation of his 1998 comedy.

Tony nominee Marla Mindelle is currently collaborating with Peter Farrelly on a stage musical adaptation of There’s Something About Mary, the 1998 rom-com that Farrelly co-wrote and directed with his brother, Bobby. Mindelle revealed her participation in the project in an interview with Variety.
Starring Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz, the film is about a man who is still so obsessed with his high school crush that he hires a private investigator to track her down, only for that investigator to become equally obsessed with Mary. There’s just something about her!
Mindelle is Tony nominated this year for co-writing the book of Titaníque (alongside Constantine Rousouli and director Tye Blue) and for her leading performance as Céline Dion. TheaterMania’s review called it “a star-making performance.”
