Lindsey Kraft and Ben Folds Bring We’ve Been Here Before Off-Broadway

Lindsey Kraft’s new solo musical, We’ve Been Here Before: A One-Woman Musical, will make its New York premiere off-Broadway this summer at the SoHo Playhouse.

Created, written, and performed by Kraft, the production is music directed by Emmy Award nominee Ben Folds, who will also appear onstage alongside musician Dan Rudin. The production is co-directed by Machel Ross and Kraft.

We’ve Been Here Before follows Liv, a 40-year-old woman whose midlife awakening begins with an unexpected desire to write music. Despite having no musical background, she teaches herself piano while forming a relationship with a mysterious online confidant. Through a collection of original songs, Liv confronts family secrets, her father’s addiction, and a lifetime of silence as she discovers the courage to forge her own path.

Performances will run August 4-17.
