L.A.'s Celebration Theatre Hosts An Evening With Linda Lavin

On Saturday, February 1, Celebration Theatre will host a one-night-only benefit event, Portrait of an Artist: An Evening With Linda Lavin at Atwater Village Theatre in Los Angeles.
In an intimate setting, actress Linda Lavin shares in detail the story of her life and career as her husband, artist Steve Bakunas, paints her portrait while conducting the interview. Always spontaneous and revealing, Lavin opens up about her early years as a chorus girl, a cabaret singer, Broadway star, and television icon. Bakunas, a multitalented renaissance man, mines for the gold with humor and sensitivity, providing an entertaining and insightful evening.
A six-time Tony Award nominee, Lavin won the 1987 Tony for Best Leading Actress in a Play for her performance in Neil Simon's Broadway Bound. Her other notable stage credits include Last of the Red Hot Lovers, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, and Collected Stories. Lavin will return to the Vineyard Theatre this May to star in Nicky Silver's Too Much Sun, reprising her partnership with the creative team from her most recent Broadway production, The Lyons. Lavin is also known to television audiences for her portrayal of the title role on the long-running CBS series Alice, and currently costars opposite Sean Hayes on the NBC sitcom Sean Saves the World.
