The Chicago engagement of Jersey Boys will play its final performance at the Bank of America Theatre on January 10 after having played 951 performances.
The musical — written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe — tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito, and Nick Massi, and includes dozens of their popular hits including “Walk Like a Man,” “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What a Night,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.”
The Chicago production currently features Michael Cunio (DeVito), Michael Ingersoll (Massi), Dominic Scaglione Jr. (Valli), and Shonn Wiley (Gaudio). The ensemble includes Mackenzie Bell, Jared Bradshaw, John Michael Coppola, John Michael Dias, Mike Erickson, Alayna Gallo, Steven M. Goldsmith, Merissa Haddad, Tara Macri, Kraig McCreary, Rashad Naylor, Timothy Quinlan, Ryan Quinn West, and Chuck Webb.
The creative team includes Howell Binkley (lighting design), Michael Clark (projection design), Jess Goldstein (costume design), Steve Canyon Kennedy (sound design), Ron Melrose (musical direction), Steve Orich (orchestrations), Sergio Trujillo (choreography), and Klara Zieglerova (scenic design).
