The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival will present Tennessee Williams and Music, a gala fundraising dinner to be held at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (460 Commercial Street) on June 2 at 6:30 pm.
At the event, Minneapolis composer and pianist George Maurer and bassist and vocalist Jeff Engholm will perform a numer from Autumn Song, which is one of this year’s productions. In the show,Tennessee Williams will meet Rainer Maria Rilke in a dramatic musical conversation.
The event will also include the announcement of the Festival’s full program, an art exhibition of white-line woodcuts by Bill Evaul, a special appearance by entertainer Zoe Lewis, and an auction of items such as A French Quarter Getaway for Two and a Playbill from the original 1947 Broadway production of Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire.
