Tony Award winner Janet McTeer will join the cast of DirecTV’s Damages, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She will play a former colleague of Patty Hewes (played by series star Glenn Close).
McTeer received Tony and Olivier Awards for her performance in A Doll’s House and received a Tony nomination for her portrayal of the title character in Mary Stuart. Her most recent appearance on Broadway was in God of Carnage, playing Veronica, a role she also played in London.
In addition, the actress received an Oscar nomination for her work in Tumbleweeds and will appear opposite Close in the forthcoming film Albert Nobbs.
