Broadway veteran and Deadwood star Ian McShane will be joining the cast of FX’s American Horror Story, according to TVline.
McShane will be playing a character who will “tussle” with the mental institution head/nun being played by Jessica Lange, according to a tweet by co-creator Ryan Murphy.
McShane starred on Broadway in the revival of Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming. In addition to Deadwood, his television and film work includes Kings and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
