Honeymoon in Vegas stars Tony Danza, Rob McClure, and Brynn O'Malley took the stage at the 92nd Street Y on March 15 for a dicussion about the new Broadway musical. They were joined by Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, book writer Andrew Bergman, director Gary Griffin, and choreographer Denis Jones. Julie James, program director of Sirius XM Radio's On Broadway station, hosted the event.
Based on the 1992 film, Honeymoon in Vegas follows Jack Singer (McClure), who travels to Vegas to elope with his girlfriend, Betsy (O'Malley), in defiance of his dead mother's wishes. But after accruing a large sum of debt to mobster Tommy Korman (Danza), the wedding is temporarily put on hold.
Honeymoon in Vegas opened January 15 at the Nederlander Theatre following a world-premiere run at Millburn, New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse in 2013.
