Griff Rhys Jones will return as Fagin in The West End revival of Oliver! playing at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in December, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. The show will play its final performance on January 8, after a run of more than two years.
The musical, with book, music, and lyrics by Lionel Bart, features direction by Rupert Goold, based on Sam Mendes’ 1994 staging. Matthew Bourne has co-directed and choreographed the production. The company includes Kerry Ellis as Nancy and Stephen Hartley as Bill Sykes.
The creative team includes Anthony Ward (scenic design), Paule Constable (lighting design), and Paul Groothuis (sound design).
