Stage and screen star Glenn Close celebrates her opening night in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard at the Palace Theatre tonight. Before the curtain rises on the performance, new video footage of Close singing the show's iconic number "As If We Never Said Goodbye," has been released. Check it out below.

Based on the classic Billy Wilder film, Sunset Boulevard is about silent film star Norma Desmond (Close). Forgotten in the era of talkies, she slips further into delusion in her cavernous Los Angeles mansion. Close won her third Tony Award for her portrayal of Desmond in the original 1994 Broadway run. In this revival, she is joined by Siobhan Dillon, Fred Johanson, and Michael Xavier, all making their Broadway debuts. The new production also features a 40-piece orchestra playing Webber, Don Black, and Christopher Hampton's Tony Award-winning score. Lonny Price directs.
