Lynch’s final episode of ”Glee” will air in less than three weeks.
Jane Lynch, whose run on the hit Fox series Glee officially ends March 20 with the two-hour series finale, has landed her next television gig as the star of the CBS pilot Angel From Hell.
The half-hour comedy follows the unlikely friendship between Allison and Amy (Lynch), a larger-than-life, brassy, and flamboyant woman who claims to be Allison's guardian angel. Allison (yet to be cast) can’t decide if Amy is actually an angel or if she’s just plain nuts.
The pilot is written and executive-produced by Tad Quill (Scrubs, Samantha Who?). Don Scardino (30 Rock, 2 Broke Girls) will direct, and CBS Television Studios will produce.
In addition to her television credits, Lynch made her Broadway debut in 2013 as Miss Hannigan in a revival of Annie.
