Tony Award nominee Gabriel Byrne will present the Irish Repertory Theatre the Eugene O’Neill Lifetime Achievement Award, given annually by the Irish American Writers & Artists, Inc, at 6pm on Monday. October 17 at The Manhattan Club upstairs at Rosie O’Grady.
The ceremony will be hosted by Malachy McCourt, and will feature remarks by City Council Speaker Christine Quinn. There will also be a video presentation, narrated by Fritz Weaver.
Irish Repertory Theatre founders Charlotte Moore, who is also the company’s artistic director, and Ciarán O’Reilly, producing director, will accept the award at the celebration.
The theater, which was founded in 1988, is devoted to bringing works by Irish and Irish American masters and contemporary playwrights to American audiences.
