With the news that the upcoming stage musical adaptation of Anastasia has found its cast, we started getting nostalgic for the original 1997 animated film on which it's based. While Meg Ryan famously voiced the title role back then, it was Broadway's own Liz Callaway who sang the role, and her vocals have been indelible ever sense. Case in point, her still-sterling rendition of Ahrens and Flaherty's "Journey to the Past," which gives us chills to this very day.
