With Independence Day rapidly approaching, it’s time to look back on that old classic of musical-theater, 1776. Though the musical has been revived frequently, no performance will ever match the heights of the original John Adams, played by William Daniels. Here’s a clip of Daniels, who repeated his Broadway performance in the film, singing “Is Anybody There?”
