The comedic murder mystery has been remounted for Long Island audiences.
Ira Levin's comedic whodunit Deathtrap opened on Saturday, July 26 at the John W. Engeman Theater. The play first opened on Broadway February 26 1978 and ran through June 13 1982, setting its currently held record as the longest-running comedy-thriller ever on Broadway. The story follows a Broadway hit-making playwright, who, after four flops in a row, is so desperate to come up with another hit, he says he would kill for one. Performances will run at the Long Island theater through September 7.
