Broadway Cast Recording of Chess Revival Out Next Week

Fans can now hear Nicholas Christopher’s rendition of “Anthem.”

Ghostlight Records has announced that the cast recording of the current Broadway revival of Chess will be released for streaming next Friday, April 10. You can pre-save the album on all major streaming platforms here.

Starring Lea Michele, Aaron Tveit, and Nicholas Christopher, Chess tells the story of two world-famous chess players caught up in Cold War intrigue. It featuring music and lyrics by ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and Tim Rice, based on an idea by Rice. The revival, which opened at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre on November 16, has a new book by Danny Strong and direction by Michael Mayer.

As we previously reported, fans can already listen to Michele sing “Nobody’s Side,” which was the first single from the cast recording.

The album will be released on CD and vinyl later this year.
