O’Byrne and Messing play Anthony and Rosemary, a pair of introvert misfits nearing forty. The painfully shy Anthony has spent his entire life on an Ireland cattle farm, while Rosemary, living next door and determined to have him, watches the years pass by. When Anthony’s father threatens to disinherit him and a land feud begins to simmer, these lost souls must find a way toward happiness.
The production reunites Shanley, Hughes, and O’Byrne for the first time since they collaborated on MTC’s Tony Award-winning production of Doubt. Messing makes her Broadway debut.
Additional casting and information will be announced in the near future.
