Boston Children’s Theatre Announces 2012-2013 Season

Boston Children’s Theatre has announced plans for its 2012-2013 season.

The season will kick off in December with The Velveteen Rabit (December 9-22), an enchanting play featuring both puppetry and live actors. Then, HONK!, a story of tolerance and love based on the Hans Christian Andersen story The Ugly Duckling, will be presented February 9-24. The season will continue with the return of Reflections of a Rock Lobster (March 9-17), based on the true story of a 17 year-old gay student who sued his high school in 1980 for the right to escort his boyfriend to his high school prom.

BCT will then present the charming musical Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (April 13-21). The entertaining and educational journey Schoolhouse Rock! (April 24-May 5) will bring the season to a close while teaching kids how interesting learning can be.
