The Muny’s upcoming production of Meet Me in St. Louis will star Tony winner Beth Leavel in the role of Katie Connelly. Complete casting for the August 6-13 run will be announced at a later date.
Meet Me in St. Louis is a 1989 musical based on the 1944 film of the same name, which itself is based on the 1942 novel by Sally Benson. It has a book by Hugh Wheeler and classic songs, including “The Boy Next Door,” “The Trolley Song,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane.
At the Muny, Leavel has starred in Gypsy, Oklahoma!, Hello, Dolly!, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Annie, and many other shows.
