Bebe Neuwirth, Judy Kuhn, and More to Star in Hey, Look Me Over!

Encores! artistic director Jack Viertel has announced additional casting and details for Hey, Look Me Over!, which will open the series's 25th season February 7-11, 2018, at New York City Center.

In addition to the previously announced Bob Martin reprising his Drowsy Chaperone role of Man in Chair, the cast will include Clyde Alves, Clifton Duncan, Marc Kudisch, Judy Kuhn, Tam Mutu, Bebe Neuwirth, Nancy Opel, Alexandra Socha, Vanessa Williams, Reed Birney, Carolee Carmello, and Britney Coleman. More casting will be announced later.

The production will be directed by Marc Bruni, with musical direction by Encores! musical director Rob Berman and choreography by Denis Jones.

Conceived by Viertel, Hey, Look Me Over! is described as follows: "Catch a glimpse of some of the overtures, opening numbers, grand finales, and other excerpts from the beloved shows that have not yet found a berth on the Encores! stage in this original production, Hey, Look Me Over! Man in Chair, a somewhat woebegone musical-theater geek, will lead audiences through these sequences from actual American musicals, as opposed to the fictional sequences he extolled upon in The Drowsy Chaperone."

Among the musicals that will be featured in Hey, Look Me Over! are All American, George M!, Greenwillow, Jamaica, Mack & Mabel, Milk and Honey, Sail Away, and Wildcat.
