Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced that Curtain Up!, its fourth annual spring benefit, will honor philanthropists Patty and Jay Baker and Barbara Slifka. The event will be held May 4 at Joe's Pub in New York. Bay Street artistic director Scott Schwartz will host.

The Spring Honors Benefit will preview the theater's 2015 summer Mainstage season, featuring presentations and performances by some of the stars and creators of the new productions. The season will include the world premiere of The New Sincerity, a comedy by Alena Smith. Bob Balaban will direct. Also on the roster is Grey Gardens, the Broadway musical featuring a book by Doug Wright, music by Scott Frankel, and lyrics by Michael Korie. Michael Wilson will direct.

A cocktail reception will begin at 6pm, followed by the performance at 7pm. The honorees, Patty and Jay Baker and Barbara Slifka, will join a number of Bay Street's past honorees, including Joy Behar, David Bray, Adrianne Cohen, Ana Daniel, John Downing, Bonnie Comley, and Stewart Lane.

"Our honorees truly represent the best of what it means to be supporters of the arts," said Tracy Mitchell, executive director of Bay Street Theater, "and we look forward to toasting them at this fun event in New York City."
