Ashlie Atkinson and Francisco Pryor Garat Join Mario Cantone and Jerry Dixon in Steve

The New Group has announced complete casting for the world premiere of Steve, a new play by Mark Gerrard. Directed by Cynthia Nixon, the limited off-Broadway engagement plays November 3-December 27 in the the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center, with an official opening set for November 18.

Steve's cast will feature Ashlie Atkinson as Carrie and Francisco Pryor Garat as Esteban in addition to the previously announced Matt McGrath as Steven, Malcolm Gets as his partner Stephen, Mario Cantone as Steven's best friend Matt, and Jerry Dixon as Matt's partner Brian.

Steve follows a failed-Broadway-chorus-boy-turned-stay-at-home dad who finds himself filled with fear and uncertainty as he celebrates another birthday.

This production features scenic design by Allen Moyer, costume design by Tom Broecker, lighting design by Eric Southern, sound design by David Van Tieghem, and projection design by Olivia Sebesky. Music coordinator is Seth Rudetsky.
