Alissa Anderegg, Craig D’Amico, and Emily Olson will star in the Los Angeles premiere of Jason Robert Brown and Alfred Uhry’s award winning musical Parade, to be presented at the Neighborhood Playhouse, July 10-27. Brady Schwind will direct, with choreography by Imara Quinonez and musical direction by David Sateren.

Based on the true story of Leo Frank (D’Amico), a Jewish factory manager, wrongly convicted of the murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan (Anderegg) in Atlanta, Georgia in 1913, Parade recounts the press frenzy and public hatred surrounding the trial, and his wife Lucille’s (Olson) crusade for justice.

Brown is also the composer of The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World, and the Broadway-bound 13. Uhry is best known as the author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Driving Miss Daisy. Parade was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and won the awards for Best Score and Best Book of a Musical.
